P&G halts pet-food production to find salmonella source

Procter & Gamble has put on hold pet-food production at its facility in Lewisburg, Ohio, as it searches for the source of a salmonella contamination that prompted recalls of Iams veterinary dry formulas and Eukanuba Naturally Wild, Pure and Custom Care Sensitive Skin dry food. The recalls are considered "precautionary," and no pets have been reported sickened, said the company.
