PR push aims to re-brand frumpy felines into cool cats

Veterinarians and animal advocates worried about the decline in feline vet visits have launched a global effort to make cat-owning cool. Debuted at the AVMA's annual meeting, the PR push includes a co-branding effort with luxury car company Lexus that featured a "certified pre-owned cat" promotion and a push to move the perception of cat owners upscale, from "crazy cat lady" to "catalysta."
