Judge's ruling clears the way for online music storage

In a case filed by record labels against music-storage service MP3tunes, a judge ruled that users are responsible for knowing whether their music is pirated and that MP3tunes is not responsible under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The ruling removes a potential legal hurdle for Amazon, Google and other companies looking to create online music lockers.
