Klout hires chief revenue officer to oversee Perks program

Social-influence company Klout has appointed a chief revenue officer in a move that CEO Joe Fernandez says will help the outfit shift from being an "interesting novelty" to being seen as a serious business. The new executive, Tim Mahlman, will oversee Klout's Perks program, which enables marketers to target campaigns and deals to their most influential followers on Twitter, Facebook and other social sites.
