Scientists seek to produce ethanol from palm oil residue in Indonesia

Researchers from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences and the (South) Korea International Cooperation Agency are teaming up to produce ethanol from the fibrous residue of palm oil production in Indonesia. A pilot plant and research facility for the project in Banten, Indonesia, is expected to start production by 2012.
