When to worry about your dog's liver

Veterinarian Michael Watts addresses one pet owner's concerns about her dog's slightly elevated liver enzymes in the animal's most recent blood panel. Dr. Watts notes these are a common abnormality in healthy pets' bloodwork and further emphasizes that the level of concern is dictated by which values are elevated, the height of the elevation and how long these are elevated; however, Dr. Watts says any type of abnormality should be re-checked with a follow-up test.
