California Public Employees' Retirement System votes to oppose restrictive biosimilars provision

A bill that would require pharmacists to inform prescribers when they substitute a biosimilar drug for a biologic medication was approved by a California Assembly committee on Wednesday. However, on the same day, the board of the California Public Employees' Retirement System voted to oppose the biosimilar provision and passage of the legislation unless the provision is taken out.
