Developers of mobile applications tying into Facebook will have to be more transparent about user permissions, adding another step to the permission process. In addition to asking permission to access a Facebook member's data, third-party apps will have to ask for permission to post activities or updates to Facebook's Social Graph. "Clearly separating sharing means people can decide whether they only want to use Facebook," Facebook's Ling Bao wrote in a blog post.
