Guiding principles for a successful engineering intern program

In this article, Alex Mooradian, CEO and co-founder of Readyforce, a career network for college students, highlights what technology companies with strong engineering internship programs do well. For instance, such companies seek interns using practices similar to those used for hiring full-time employees. Having a plan also is important. "One of the easiest ways you can sabotage your engineering internship program is to not have a plan," he writes. "There's nothing worse than a highly qualified engineering intern showing up on the first day and having nothing of value to do."
