New equation: Sewage plus algae equals clean energy

A Spanish company named Aqualia is the newest enterprise to claim a solution to the perennial problem of what to do with sewage: Build a plant that supplies wastewater to algae for a biomass with enough power, the company claims, to fuel 200 vehicles "with a single toilet flush." A company website says, "If possible, this would revolutionize the current wastewater treatment paradigm: what had, until now, been considered an undesirable by-product would become a valuable resource."
