A new report from the Computer Science Teachers Association finds that the certification process for computer-science teachers is lacking nationwide -- affecting students' preparedness to enter the field. Researchers found that just two states -- Arizona and Wisconsin -- require computer-science teachers to be certified in the subject, and in the case of Florida, teachers are required to take courses that are not offered by any of the state's teacher-preparation programs.
Report: Training for computer-science teachers needs improvement
