Study: Global automotive, tech manufacturers rely on just 4 suppliers

The global automotive and technology sectors are prone to supply chain disruptions as thousands of manufacturers from 50 countries in these sectors rely only on four suppliers, according to an analysis by Resilinc. These suppliers include Amkor Technology, ASE, Taiwan Semiconductor and United Microelectronics. "Sourcing, procurement and supply chain executives need greater visibility into their suppliers' global footprint and site locations, sub-contractor and sub-tier supplier dependencies, site activities, parts origin, alternate sites, recovery times, emergency contacts and business continuity planning," Resilinc CEO Bindiya Vakil said.
