Study: Motorized cycling may help ICU patients recover faster

An Australian study found unconscious ICU patients who were hooked up to a motorized cycling machine met recovery milestones quicker and had less delirium and improved physical function, compared with patients who did not get the intervention. The American-made cycling machines have electrode pads that artificially stimulate muscles.
