Study examines car seat safety for babies under 3 months

A study in Pediatrics found car seats may lead to reduced oxygen levels in babies younger than 3 months because their sitting position could constrict their airway. The researchers said parents should limit infants' time in car seats to only the time necessary for travel, but other pediatric experts said the risk has no real clinical significance.
