DISH Network applies to FCC to offer LTE service

DISH Network has filed an application with the Federal Communications Commission for a permit to operate a broadband wireless network. On the heels of its acquisition this year of TerreStar, DISH is now seeking permission to transfer TerreStar's frequency licenses to a DISH subsidiary, and it wants to put together a Long Term Evolution-based network with spectrum it acquired in the purchase of DBSD North America.
