RNC to put money into election for Weiner's former seat

The Republican National Committee will help the New York state Republican Party pay for a get-out-the-vote effort leading up to the special election to fill the now-vacant seat of former Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y. Although the district has three times as many registered Democrats as Republicans, a Siena College poll found that the Democratic nominee David Weprin has only a six point lead over Republican Bob Turner, and Republicans are hoping for an upset.
