Data: England's 7-year-olds make gains in writing

Maths achievement is down to 89% from 90% among England's 7-year-olds, according to recently released test scores, but writing scores showed slight gains. Data show that girls are outperforming their male peers in all tested subjects, and officials are promising support for students who need it.
