NICU parents can suffer PTSD from multiple traumas

Parents whose newborns are in a hospital neonatal intensive care unit for an extended period of time can suffer post-traumatic distress syndrome, U.S. researchers reported. The study showed parents can suffer multiple "traumas," including witnessing their baby go through life-threatening events and medical procedures and getting continued reports of bad news.
