Can Cook keep Apple at the forefront of innovation?

Industry observers say new Apple CEO Tim Cook has his work cut out for him as they wonder whether Cook can uphold former CEO Steve Jobs' extraordinary track record of product innovation. Some are asking how Apple will fare when it comes to creating groundbreaking products in new arenas such as digital video and digital publishing. "[Steve Jobs is] leaving Apple with a long-term vision that his successors will implement. But in three or five years they're going to have to find some other visionaries," said Jay Elliot, a former Apple executive.
