Flat-screen TVs add features to boost sales

Flat-screen television sets are increasingly featuring new elements to make them more attractive to consumers. Sharp, for instance, has introduced the Freestyle Aquos LCD TV, which involves a tuner that can wirelessly send a signal to the TV anywhere in the house. Samsung Electronics, meanwhile, has brought out light-emitting diode backlit TVs, and Sony offers Internet-enabled TVs that run on Google's Android mobile operating system.
