Liability lawsuit against Howmedica to proceed

A federal circuit court declined to throw out a liability lawsuit filed by a patient against Howmedica Osteonics, a Stryker unit, over its Scorpio TS knee replacement system. The decision reversed a lower court's dismissal of the case, which seeks to make Howmedica liable for defects in design, production and marketing of the device.
