Texas university advances plans to build $438M hospital

A $438 million hospital is set to rise on the campus of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. The 13-story hospital will house 20 state-of-the-art operating suites. "This new hospital represents a major milestone in the university's recovery from Hurricane Ike," said David Callender, UTMB's president.
