Apple's new App Store rankings are "critical" for app marketers

Apple will change the algorithm used to calculate rankings in its App Store to include ratings as well as number of installs, and will update the rankings every three hours, Fiksu reported. "For app marketers, delivering a positive app experience earning high app ratings from loyal users has never been more critical," said Craig Palli, Fiksu's chief strategy officer.
