China's wealthy tourists buoy Calif. outlet malls

Wealthy Chinese tourists are turning their attention from full-price luxury retail in major US cities to suburban outlet centers where their money stretches further, mall owners say. California attracted about 700,000 Chinese tourists who spent $2.1 billion last year, according to Visit California, and the number of visitors is on track to hit 1.1 million by 2015.
