Report: Oil, gas production boom strengthened U.S. energy security

The U.S. energy security risk has fallen by 6% because of an increase in unconventional oil and natural gas production, according to the index of U.S. energy security risk released by the U.S. Chamber's Institute for 21st Century Energy. "This is especially important because the United States now accounts for a shrinking portion of global oil demand," the report stated.
