"Well-being" is the word at ISPA event

Spa company officials who attended the International Spa Association's annual meeting in New York recently said their primary focus was on services that promote holistic health and overall well-being. That's the mission of new services that spas throughout the association have launched. "Beauty is almost a given," said Nina Smiley, spokeswoman for The Spa at Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, N.Y. "But it's superficial. It's external. I'd say what's internal is as important as the beauty aspect."
