Feeding pets with table scraps in moderation poses no harm

Feeding dogs and cats with table scraps, or homemade kibbles, does not pose a threat "as long as they are healthy and given in moderation" since most pets need variety in their diets, says Lucy Postins, a nutritionist and CEO of The Honest Kitchen. According to AVMA, the U.S. has more than 72 million dogs and about 82 million cats.
