LTE networks, data centers are next growth areas for gear-makers

Cloud computing and smartphones may in some respects dim the prospects for growth among gear-makers of network-managing tools such as routers and switches, but bright spots remain as telecoms spend heavily to expand their 4G and LTE networks. In addition, network gear sales for the data centers required for cloud computing are forecast to increase from $37 billion in 2010 to $41 billion in 2012.
