Baidu to hold majority control of group-buying site

Baidu, the biggest search engine in China, has agreed to acquire a 59% stake in Nuomi for $160 million. Nuomi is a group-buying website, said to have 3.8 million active paying users. In addition, Baidu is readying a "Light App" platform that would help users find little-known but useful HTML5-based Web applications without deep browsing in app stores.
