Court keeps Apple, Samsung financial records under wraps

A U.S. appeals court has reversed a lower court ruling that ordered Apple and Samsung Electronics to open up their financial records to the public. While a federal court judge had demanded that the companies -- combatants in a patent suit -- make portions of those records public, the higher court said information could be protected because it was "not central to a decision on the merits."
