Google's new Play policies tackle ad changes, billing, hate speech

Google has made clear a number of changes to its Google Play Developer Program Policies, including new guidance on interstitial ads, Emil Protalinski writes. Applications and ads are prohibited from adding "homescreen shortcuts, browser bookmarks, or icons on the user's device as a service to third parties or for advertising purposes," and from displaying ads "through system level notifications on the user's device, unless the notifications derive from an integral feature provided by the installed app," Protalinski writes.
