Nasdaq failure highlights fragility of technology

A technological failure that led to a three-hour shutdown of the Nasdaq Stock Market on Thursday highlights concerns with technological infrastructure underpinning markets, experts say. Nasdaq also has been faulted for not communicating better, although Bob Greifeld, CEO of the exchange's operator, said he was in communication with market participants and that speaking with the media during the event was not a priority.
