Osprey Medical gets FDA OK for angiogram device

Osprey Medical has been cleared by the FDA to market its Avert System, which is used to minimize patient exposure to dye during angiogram or diagnostic heart procedures. A clinical study showed the device was able to lower by as much as 40% the amount of dye used during angiograms while maintaining image quality.
