SGX exec calls for regional regulation of CCPs

Agnes Siew-Koh, senior vice president and head of clearing risk at Singapore Exchange, said at an industry conference that regulators in different regions of the world should coordinate supervision of central counterparties, rather than take a domestic stance. "One possibility to address the concern of proliferation might be for Asian regulators to work closely together to allow for links between market infrastructures in different jurisdictions," Siew-Koh said.
