Study: Employer's stock in a 401(k) is a losing strategy

Companies that put above-average amounts of their own stock in employees' 401(k) plans deliver returns that fall short of those of their peers in the next year, a study by Morningstar Investment Management found. Over the period studied, the underperformance was about 2%, said David Blanchett, the author of the study.
