Supreme Court throws out derivatives case against UBS

The Supreme Court has tossed out a shareholder lawsuit concerning derivatives that pension plans had filed against UBS Financial Services in Puerto Rico. Two pension plans had alleged that securities rules were violated, but the Supreme Court deferred to a lower-court ruling, which said that since the plaintiffs had sold their positions, they no longer had standing in the matter.
