European group gets funding for blood-sample technology, protocol

A European consortium has received funding from the EU Eurostars Programme for the development of a technology meant to improve the handling of human blood plasma samples, particularly in preventing the degradation of the samples and enhancing the separation of plasma and whole blood. The group also aims to use the funding to establish a protocol that will standardize sample handling for easier comparison of plasma quality and results.
