Networks: FilmOnX "engages in copyright infringement"

FilmOnX, formerly known as Aereokiller, is "a broadcast retransmission service, not a technology provider," and therefore should be shut down since it doesn't have a license for its content, according to a federal court filing from Fox, NBC and ABC. The filing is in advance of a Sept. 20 court date in Washington, D.C. "FilmOnX cannot obscure the uncontroverted fact that it allows thousands and potentially millions of viewers to watch the same broadcasts of some of [the] most valuable copyrighted programming in the world. FilmOnX engages in copyright infringement," according to the filing.
