Md. will offer adult dental policies on ACA exchange

Consumers in Maryland will be able to purchase adult dental coverage via the state's Affordable Care Act exchange, although only pediatric dental coverage is considered an essential health benefit. Consumers can choose a medical plan that includes dental coverage or choose a standalone plan. CareFirst, Delta Dental, DentaQuest, Dominion Dental and United Concordia will offer adult plans on the individual exchange, and state officials expect more carriers to offer plans on the small-business exchange.
