Too much screen time linked to depression, anxiety in children

A report released by Public Health England revealed that spending more hours playing video games, watching TV or using the computer was linked to increased levels of anxiety, depression and emotional distress in children. Researchers noted that children who were more physically active had a greater likelihood of focusing well on schoolwork, enjoying the company of classmates, and expressing lower levels of depression, anxiety and worry.
