WHO reports more cases of Middle East respiratory syndrome

The World Health Organization on Wednesday reported eight new cases of Middle East respiratory syndrome in Saudi Arabia, bringing the global total of laboratory-confirmed cases to 102, including 49 deaths. The WHO is recommending global vigilance as well as screening of cases involving severe respiratory infection in people who have been to the Middle East recently.
