Georgian president wants schools to focus on maths, science

Speaking at a meeting with teachers, Georgia President Mikheil Saakashvili said he would like the country to focus classroom learning on engineering, maths, physics and technology, and he also called for concentrating on English language learning. Georgia is on track to add a number of subjects to its schools, including Georgian folk dance, sports and civil defence.
