Mobile advertising takes on new shapes amid rapid growth

Mobile advertising is growing rapidly, but the proliferation of platforms means that development is going in several directions at once. Some innovators, such as Japan's Mobile Art Lab, are even experimenting with 3-D as a way to capture consumer eyes. For consumers, however, it amounts to a wild array of ad offerings amid growing concern over how much data the ads burn up on their carriers' limited data plans.
