SEC's anti-fraud rule will restrict hedge fund managers

When the Securities and Exchange Commission's new anti-fraud rule kicks in Sept. 10, hedge fund managers will be prohibited from making misleading or false statements to investors or defrauding prospective and current investors. The new rule has been adopted in the wake of failures in the $1.5 trillion industry, which is largely unregulated.
