Obama nominates Build America Bond advocate to lead economic council

President Barack Obama nominated Alan B. Krueger, an advocate of the Build America Bond program, as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. Krueger "was a major supporter of Build America Bonds within the administration," said Michael Decker, managing director and co-head of the municipal securities division at SIFMA. "He made it clear that he recognizes the value that Build America Bonds played."
