A mother's decision to hold down a job may have a positive impact on her child's academic performance, according to a study of families in Denmark. Children of working mothers tended to have higher grade point averages, the study found; it's important to note that Denmark has leave policies in place that may make it easier for mothers to manage the challenges that come with working and raising a family at the same time.
