Sources: Numerous retailers bid for Carrefour's Asian assets

Sources say Britain's Tesco, France's Casino Guichard Perrachon, Japan's Aeon and Malaysia's Navis Capital Partners are among the retailers bidding for Carrefour's Asian assets, which are valued at roughly $1 billion. Carrefour is exiting Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia to focus on other markets, sources said. The first round of bidding reportedly drew more than 10 suitors.
