ADP: Job growth was weaker than expected in August

U.S. companies hired about 91,000 new workers in August, compared with 109,000 in July, according to data from ADP Employer Services. The bulk of the new employees were added at small businesses, which saw a gain of nearly 60,000 jobs. The economy was expected to add at least 100,000 jobs, a survey of economists showed.
