Precise Portions makes porcelain dishes and glassware designed to help people make healthy-eating and food-portion choices. One dinner plate has a vine design that divides it into sections for different food groups, similar to the MyPlate icon, and bowls have serving-size markings. Registered dietitian Ruth Frechman says portion size is especially important for diabetes patients who must monitor how much they eat to keep glucose levels under control.
