NRC cites restart problem at Mass. facility

Several operational deficiencies led to the first emergency shutdown of Entergy's Pilgrim nuclear plant in years, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission determined in a report. The shutdown happened as operators of the Massachusetts plant were restarting the reactor after routine maintenance. "Pilgrim remains committed to the safe, reliable operation of the plant, and we'll use these lessons learned from this event to drive improved performance," said Pilgrim spokeswoman Carol Wightman.
